In case you missed it, get a taste of how our set went down at the epic BOOTY CRISIS party at Santos Party House. We pulled out all the stops to deliver funky freshness to your eyes and ears. Back-It-Up Dancers Hayley Sunshine and Kayli Szczepankiewicz held it down with crazy hype choreography in the background. Brendan McCarthy brought the inside of a computer from the 1980s (read “Tron”) to the stage with his incredible sparkle spandex set installation piece. And of course, yours truly, Planet Rump brought the bumpin beats, rhymes and hooks to your eardrums! Big thanks to Marilyn Lobos for capturing this on video!

Planet Rump fam W!LL aka Will Sheridan doin the damn thing at Royal Advisor Record’s Samn! The Remixes EP release party. The show went down in the basement of Ella Lounge on Monday July 26 and included performances by NYC’s hottest underground artists: brand-spanking-new Radio Musik, Nasty Ness, and Samn!

Nasty Ness (of Planet Rump) performed her hot new tracks last night at Royal Advisor Record’s Samn! The Remixes EP release party. The show went down in the basement of Ella Lounge and included performances by NYC’s hottest underground artists: brand-spanking-new Radio Musik, W!LL, and Samn!

Planet Rump’s Miss Strawberry and DJ Tantric checked out HARD NYC last night. Our take from the night? Die Antwoord stole the show! Their set was the best of the night by lightyears. While their message is neither positive nor unique (regardless of the chance that the project is a satirical critique of current hip hop), they are PROs at putting on a SHOW. They controlled the stage, managed the sound guy, connected with the audience and kept it hype the entire set. Oh and their beats are BUMPIN (seriously next level fokkin $hit). They even sound dope on a little digital camera’s input. Love em or hate em, Die Antwoord has taken over the interweb and will take over the world of music.

The L Magazine’s Northside Festival has made a brave and very smart move by welcoming the House of Yes and Tayisha Busay as they present a night of the brightest, baddest, chrome-covered, high-bouncing music and righteous showmanship that you can only find in the bottom of a Lucky Charms box, OR at this show. Bands that have fun? Is this really Williamsburg? The night will prove itself to be the most unique and powerful show in the festival. Line-up includes:
